Information we collect
fitmacros collects information that is necessary to provide, maintain, and improve the service. The types of information collected depend on how you interact with the product and whether you create an account.
- Account information: When you sign in using Google authentication, fitmacros receives your name, email address, and profile identifier from your Google account. This information is used to create and maintain your fitmacros account.
- Product data: Information you enter while using fitmacros, including nutrition targets, daily meal logs, food entries, saved meal templates, custom foods, profile settings, onboarding preferences, and any other data generated through normal product use.
- Usage and interaction data: Information about how you interact with the service, such as pages visited, features used, session duration, navigation patterns, and general product interaction metrics — collected only when analytics consent is granted.
- Advertising consent and delivery data: If you explicitly allow marketing cookies, fitmacros may process limited ad-delivery signals such as page context, device/browser information, consent status, and sponsored placement eligibility for display advertising. These signals are not used to give advertisers direct access to your meal logs, saved templates, or account records.
- Device and technical data: Browser type, operating system, screen resolution, language preference, and similar technical information that helps ensure the product renders and functions correctly across different environments.
- Support and communication data: Information you provide when contacting support, submitting feedback, or using any communication channel associated with fitmacros, including the content of your messages and any attachments.
How we use your information
fitmacros uses collected information for the following purposes, all of which are directly related to providing and improving the service:
- Operating the service: Authenticating your identity, maintaining your session, syncing your data across devices, and ensuring the product functions as intended.
- Delivering product functionality: Storing your meal logs, templates, targets, and preferences so the macro-tracking workflow remains accurate and persistent across sessions.
- Billing and subscription management: Processing premium subscription payments, managing entitlement state, handling upgrade and downgrade transitions, and facilitating refund requests through authorized payment processors.
- Product improvement: Understanding how features are used in aggregate to prioritize development, identify friction points, and improve the overall product experience — only with analytics consent.
- Customer support: Responding to your inquiries, resolving issues, and providing assistance related to your account or the service.
- Security and integrity: Detecting and preventing fraud, abuse, unauthorized access, and other activities that could compromise the security or integrity of the service.
Legal basis for processing
fitmacros processes your personal data on the following legal grounds: contractual necessity (to provide the service you have signed up for), legitimate interest (to maintain security, prevent abuse, and improve the product), consent (for optional analytics and marketing-related processing), and legal obligation (to comply with applicable laws and regulations). Where processing is based on consent, you may withdraw that consent at any time through the Cookie Preferences page without affecting the lawfulness of processing carried out before withdrawal.
Cookies, browser storage, and tracking technologies
fitmacros uses cookies and browser storage technologies to maintain essential product functionality. A detailed explanation of each category is available on the Cookie Policy page.
- Essential cookies and storage: Required for authentication, session management, routing, theme preferences, consent records, and core product operation. These cannot be disabled without breaking basic functionality.
- Analytics cookies: Used to collect aggregated usage metrics when you have explicitly opted in. Analytics data helps fitmacros understand product usage patterns at a high level. Analytics cookies are off by default.
- Marketing cookies and advertising technologies: Used only if you explicitly opt in. fitmacros keeps these disabled by default and blocks sponsored placements until that consent exists. When enabled for eligible free web users, Google AdSense and other advertising partners may use cookies or similar technologies to deliver, measure, and limit display ads, including personalized ads where allowed by your choices and applicable law.
Data sharing and third-party services
fitmacros does not sell your personal data to third parties. fitmacros does not share your data with advertisers or data brokers. However, fitmacros relies on certain third-party service providers to operate the service, and limited data may be shared with these providers as necessary:
- Authentication providers: Google Sign-In processes your authentication credentials to verify your identity and grant access to your account.
- Hosting and infrastructure: Cloud hosting providers store and process your data as part of delivering the service. These providers are selected for their security practices and compliance standards.
- Payment processors: If you subscribe to a premium plan, your payment information is processed by authorized third-party payment processors. fitmacros does not store complete payment card details.
- Analytics services: If you have opted in to analytics, aggregated usage data may be processed by analytics service providers to help fitmacros understand product usage patterns.
- Advertising services: If you have opted in to marketing cookies and you are eligible for ads, Google AdSense or similar display-ad providers may process limited ad-delivery data to show, measure, personalize, and protect sponsored placements. Advertisers do not receive direct access to your account records, meal logs, saved templates, health-related product data, or premium billing records from fitmacros.
- Email and communication services: Transactional emails, support responses, public Contact submissions, and authenticated Feedback submissions may be delivered through third-party email infrastructure.
- Security and anti-abuse services: Public submission routes may rely on bot-protection providers to validate that Contact and Feedback traffic is legitimate before the request is accepted.
Data retention
fitmacros retains your personal data for as long as your account remains active and as reasonably necessary to provide the service. If you delete your account, fitmacros will initiate deletion of your personal data in accordance with the deletion method you selected (immediate or after a 7-day grace period). Some data may be retained for a limited period after account deletion to comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, or maintain security and audit records. Aggregated or anonymized data that can no longer be associated with an individual may be retained indefinitely for product improvement and analytical purposes.
Data security
fitmacros implements reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect your personal data against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction. These measures include authenticated access controls, encrypted data transmission, secure infrastructure configurations, and regular security reviews. However, no method of electronic transmission or storage is completely secure. While fitmacros strives to protect your data, it cannot guarantee absolute security and shall not be held liable for any breach caused by factors beyond its reasonable control.
Your rights and choices
Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have certain rights regarding your personal data. fitmacros respects these rights and provides mechanisms to exercise them:
- Access: You can view the personal data associated with your account through the product interface at any time.
- Correction: You can update your profile information, targets, and preferences directly within the product.
- Deletion: You can request deletion of your account and associated data through the Delete Account feature, choosing either immediate deletion or a 7-day grace period.
- Data portability: fitmacros plans to support data export capabilities in a future product update to allow you to obtain a copy of your data in a portable format.
- Consent withdrawal: You can withdraw consent for optional analytics and marketing processing at any time through the Cookie Preferences page, including from the More menu while signed in. Withdrawing marketing consent blocks future sponsored placements and ad-cookie requests from fitmacros.
- Personalized advertising choices: You may also use browser controls and Google advertising settings to manage personalized advertising choices outside fitmacros where those controls are available.
- Objection: You may object to certain processing activities by contacting fitmacros through the Contact page.
International data transfers
fitmacros may process and store your data in jurisdictions outside your country of residence, including countries where data protection laws may differ from those in your jurisdiction. When transferring data internationally, fitmacros relies on appropriate safeguards to ensure that your personal data receives an adequate level of protection consistent with applicable data protection regulations.
Children's privacy
fitmacros is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 16. fitmacros does not knowingly collect personal data from children under 16. If fitmacros becomes aware that it has inadvertently collected personal data from a child under 16, it will take reasonable steps to delete that data promptly. If you believe that a child under 16 has provided personal data to fitmacros, please contact us through the Contact page.

fitmacros reserves the right to update this Privacy Policy at any time to reflect changes in the product, data practices, legal requirements, or operational capabilities. When material changes are made, fitmacros will update the effective date at the top of this policy and make the revised text available through the public website. Your continued use of fitmacros after any such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised policy. fitmacros encourages you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how your data is handled.
